We have just completed the installation of 288 Sq. M. of high spec Modular offices for Carrigtwohill based medical tech giant GE Healthcare
The Masterkabin Modular building will house 40 staff in an open plan office area along with meeting rooms, private offices for managers, canteen and sanitary facilities.
The steel frame building is complete with a suspended ceiling with recess light fittings, air conditioning and full wiring IT system.
Commenting on the handover of the building to the client, Masterkabin Managing Director Anthony O’Donovan said ‘We are delighted to have secured this new rental contract from GE Healthcare. This type of multi-national clientele is exactly the type of business that we are out in the market place chasing and winning at the moment. GE Healthcare ordered the building on February 11th and we handed it over to them fully finished on 9th March – this type of quick turnaround time exemplifies the fast track nature of our product and is a great example of what can be achieved in such a short time frame’.
Established in 1992, GE Healthcare’s Cork facility fills, packs, and distributes contrast media used in medical scans to more than 80 markets internationally. Contrast media is a substance ingested into the body during radiography or MRI scans to improve the visibility of its internal structures. The company is currently undergoing a $40m expansion of its manufacturing plant which will see the workforce at the Carrigtwohill facility in east Cork rise to close to 640.
